Archaeology Tutoring FAQ
Archaeology is the study of the material remains of past cultures. With archaeology tutoring, you can open the door to the vast reaches of human history. Written history, after all, covers only the last several thousand years, while anatomically modern humans have lived on Earth for hundreds of thousands of years. Archaeology is the only means we have of unraveling that enormous span of time. One of the most rewarding aspects of an archaeology course is that the skills you learn are applicable anywhere in the world. Like most sciences, archaeology is intended to be verifiable, but learning its techniques and theories can be tremendously frustrating. The subjects covered range from the trivial, such as how to handle a trowel on digs, to the more profound concepts. For instance, human remains are often found in the course of an archaeological excavation, and many archaeology classes will address the legal, practical, and moral issues surrounding this situation. This is where archaeology tutoring can be particularly useful.
΄σΟσ΄«Γ½ can connect you with reputable and experienced archaeology tutors from all over the world. Their educational directors are prepared to work with you to create a student profile that gives tutors a glimpse into your needs. Your chosen tutor will factor in a wide range of details to create a plan that is specifically for you from your learning style to your course syllabus to your testing dates. With personalized tutoring, you are able to focus on your own needs, while gaining valuable feedback that can help further develop the skill set you will need to succeed.
The tutors that ΄σΟσ΄«Γ½ can help connect you with have completed extensive coursework in the subject, and a number of these instructors have real-life experience that helps makes them ideal teachers. They can work with you one-on-one to devise a customized plan to make the field of archaeology more comprehensible. Confused about how to interpret stratigraphy, how to maintain records of an excavation, or how to draw uncovered artifacts before removing them from context? All of these subjects and more fall within the repertoire of a quality archaeology tutor. ΄σΟσ΄«Γ½ will help connect you with only those instructors who have demonstrated proficiency in the field.
Archaeology requires some knowledge of biology, anthropology, geology, geography, and graphical information systems. It may take you some time to get up to speed on that breadth of knowledge, but your tutor will know precisely where you should focus your efforts first. Archaeology tutoring should cover more than the basic facts and techniques, of course. Like any human endeavor, archaeology relies on human relationships. An archaeology tutor can help you learn to communicate with your professor, your teaching assistant, and other colleagues during and after your classes. Further, you can arrange your tutoring sessions however you'd like. The ΄σΟσ΄«Γ½ live learning platform allows you to meet with a private tutor either in person or face-to-face online. This gives you the flexibility to meet with your tutor at the time and location of your choice. You can pick from any location that is convenient to you, whether that is home, the campus, or a local recreational center.
The point, after all, is never just to pass a class. The class is a step along a path to a career, whether in archaeology or in another field. A good tutor can help you build the relationships that will be so key when looking for a recommendation for graduate school, an internship, or an entry level job. Better still, a tutor can help you learn how to prioritize the projects you need to complete. To get help connecting with an archaeology tutor today, call the ΄σΟσ΄«Γ½ office in your area. Educational directors are ready to help.

Recent Archaeology Tutoring Session Notes
I began by congratulating the student on the excellent result she achieved on the second exam. Next, we discussed the upcoming exam on DNA replication and transcription. We decided to begin work on Problem Sets #7 and #8. We covered concepts related to DNA banding experiments, the role of helicase in DNA replication, the difference between leading and lagging strands during replication, the differences between various types of polymerases, Okazaki fragments, polymerase chain reaction, primer and experimental design, DNA synthesis, next-generation sequencing, cancer genomics, and mutation repair mechanisms. She has a good understanding of these concepts, especially since she appears to pay close attention during lectures and takes thorough notes on the lecture slide handouts. We agreed to meet after the weekend was through for continued review before Thursday's exam.
Today the student and I prepared for her upcoming exam over chapters 11 and 12 in her textbook. Topics reviewed included: Meiosis, Mendelian genetics (independent assortment, monohybrid, dihybrid crosses, and evaluating pedigrees), sexual vs asexual reproduction and patterns of disease inheritance. I left her with a variety of review guides and worksheets to provide her with extra practice.
The student and I reviewed facts on natural selection, evolution, and evidence of selection in populations. There have been two chapters covered in class since the last time he and I met, so we reviewed most of those two chapters through power point slides and with class worksheets. He recently had an exam and scored an 88, which he was pleased with and he seems comfortable with the new material. There is an exam coming up in a week and we will meet again before it.
This is an inclusion of Tuesday and Wednesday. We covered Biology and geometry. Biology was including the Hershey and Chase experiment, DNA transcription and translation. For the geometry side we covered chapters six and seven. These chapters included the concepts of similarity, proportions, parallelograms and quadrilaterals.
Today, the student and I worked on Biology homework completing a pre test worksheet on Ecology. Then we worked on a probability worksheet for math. Then she read a chapter from English Literature. We also filed some worksheets he had received today.
Tonight we were able to fully edit and complete the student's paper on California grunion. She wrote a very impressive rough draft, and I helped her reword certain statements as well as adding all the appropriate citations.
