Czech Tutoring FAQ

Czech is a complex language for anyone to learn, and many of its features are especially unintuitive for native speakers of English. For instance, Czech involves fewer tenses than English does, necessitating English speakers to give additional thought to selecting the appropriate tense for their verbs in those cases where an English tense doesn't have a Czech equivalent.

Whether you are taking Czech classes in a collegiate setting for a language requirement, are learning the language to supplement your professional skillset, or want to become fluent in Czech for any other reason, ΄σΟσ΄«Γ½ can help you connect with a private Czech language tutor who can help you overcome any difficulties you may experience during your language-learning process.

We went over the mid-term review from her book and she got over 90% correct. We then practiced using deduction to choose the correct sentence out of two sentences that need to be matched with a picture. We also practiced how to guess the meaning using the words we know.

The student received a B on his two most recent homework packets. He has a test next Friday, so we will use the Thursday session to review for that. Today, he reviewed his new vocabulary list and practiced using it to answer and ask questions in Chinese. He wrote sentences using the words as a way to learn the characters.

I administered the first half of the student's long-awaited unit test, then quickly graded it and reviewed her mistakes with her. She did very well overall.

In these three lessons, I reviewed everything that he has learned in 2014. I also quizzed him on some of the old materials that he is not that familiar on such as fruits and vegetables. I then taught him more simple but useful Chinese such as "help, restroom, people....etc." and jobs ("police, doctor, teacher, musician). Everything went pretty well; he is really good at memorizing vocab.
