What is your teaching philosophy?

My teaching philosophy is to help students grow, learn and achieve their potentials.

What might you do in a typical first session with a student?

I would introduce myself and let the student introduce herself or himself. The first session is an introductory session to the basics.

How can you help a student become an independent learner?

I would make a schedule that fits into the students' planner.

How would you help a student stay motivated?

Motivation is the key to online lessons. I would work with students to figure out his or her strategy, and make them motivated in every lesson that I will teach.

If a student has difficulty learning a skill or concept, what would you do?

I would encourage them. Persistence is the key to success.

How do you help students who are struggling with reading comprehension?

Keep doing what they are taught to do. Practice is the key to success.

What strategies have you found to be most successful when you start to work with a student?

Get to know the student and let the student know you.

How would you help a student get excited/engaged with a subject that they are struggling in?

Make them engaged by offering them interesting and engaging lesson plans.

What techniques would you use to be sure that a student understands the material?

Test them after every lesson plan!

How do you build a student's confidence in a subject?

Rather than discouraging them, encourage them to learn and achieve.

How do you evaluate a student's needs?

Tests and feedback.

How do you adapt your tutoring to the student's needs?

Research and attempt every possible strategy in adapting to the students' needs.

What types of materials do you typically use during a tutoring session?

Online, accessible materials.
