Tutoring review by Orval in Windsor, WI
We discussed lowest common multiples and lowest common denominator. We solve several problems involving both topics. He was struggling a bit with lowest common multiples and divisors, that however stems from the fact that he hasn't fully memorized his times tables. I brought a times table for him to commit to memory. I will test him at our next session on his progress with the times tables.

Tutoring review by Mariah in Windsor, WI
I was informed that the student got a 78 on her last test, which is a great improvement from test 1. She is happy with her test grade and now has a passing grade in the class; however, she wants to continue to strive for a higher grade. The student's teacher is allowing her to retake some quizzes, so we spent the majority of our session reviewing the questions and concepts on them. The concepts were quadrilaterals, polygons, and angles.

Tutoring review by Catherine in Windsor, WI
This was my first session with the student. We reviewed his Chapter 8 math exam which covered functions and graphing functions. We also looked ahead to the chapter he is working on this week, in preparation for an exam he has before April vacation. He understood how to do the problems on the Chapter 8 exam. We talked about making sure to write out applicable formulas on the assignment and to show all of his work. He had a very positive attitude and did not give up. Our goals for the next sessions are to be focusing on material ahead of the exam and completing all of the assigned homework/practice tests/review questions/etc. He is going to do the Chapter 12 review problems and quiz at the end and work through the practice exam his teacher gives him before we meet next.

Tutoring review by Jesse in Windsor, WI
The student has her final exam approaching for geometry, so we spent some time on topics we haven't covered for a while in addition to more recent material. She had some trouble remembering how to answer some of the older questions, but with some prompting she was able to do it. In particular, we spent a good deal of time with trapezoids and midlines again. Her grades have been strong recently, so I am confident she will be able to do well on her final, but we have a couple of weeks left to study just in case.

Tutoring review by Peter in Windsor, WI
The student and I began by reviewing first declension. We talked about Latin pronunciations with hard c, rolled r, v as w, etc. Then, he translated some sentences. These sentences were more difficult than those in the previous chapter and he noticed how sometimes a Latin sentence can be translated with two completely different meanings. We talked about common word order (subject-object-verb and adjective following noun). Declensions are very difficult and he is picking this up very fast. We will spend more time working with declensions, translating more sentences next week. For next time, he will continue memorizing first declension. At the end of the lesson, he read another chapter from Ovid's Metamorphoses. We will explore this chapter in greater detail, starting on a short essay next week.

Tutoring review by Manuel in Windsor, WI
This was a session to prepare the student for an exam on parametrics vectors and equidistance. So far he has performed well in class and the process we have applied suits him well. The review sheets are the source of our review problems and thorough understanding of those questions have been pivotal in his performance. I'm confident, and he is as well, that this test will not be too difficult since he has studied for it some time in advance.
