I currently attend the University of Notre Dame and am working towards a degree in Marketing. I have several years of experience tutoring people from elementary school through high school. I believe that all students (primary, secondary, and post-secondary) should be provided with the best education. Therefore, every student should be able to ascertain knowledge from a variety of realms: in class, out of class, in a book, by a teacher, or a mentor.

I enjoy helping students understand mathematics as well as gain the confidence to apply the information in many different ways.... My teaching philosophy is to help students understand math in a context related to students. This includes explaining things in terms the student understands as well as using multiple approaches.... I would ask the student what are the areas the student is struggling with as well as areas they are succeeding in mathematics.

Karla moved to Cincinnati, Ohio from Mexico in 2009. She graduated with honors from Cuauhnahuac University in Cuernavaca, Morelos, Mxico with a B.S. in International Trade; in addition, she is a Technician in Computer Systems.
