Certified Tutor

I am a junior at Emory University pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience and Behavioral Biology as well as a Minor in Economics. I have tutored several academic subjects in the past as a peer tutor as well as a tutor for elementary school students in my community. I tutor in a wide variety of subjects, but am particularly passionate about the sciences and standardized tests (both college admission and MCAT). I have been a student seeking help for classes before, and I speak from personal experience when I say that nothing feels better than finally understanding a subject with the help of tutor. I believe that each child learns differently and approaches to teaching different children must be molded to fit that specific child. My approach is to find each student's learning style and help them to achieve their goals using that learning style. It is not the child that must change their patterns for learning; it is the tutor who must mold their patterns of teaching to best fit the child's needs.
