I am motivated by my own experience following three decades of professional work as a Math and Chemistry teacher at a renewable school and also time spent as a Chemistry teaching assistant at Middle Tennessee State University and University of New Orleans. This, together with my academic background, has fully equipped me to teach. I completed my undergraduate overseas in Applied Chemistry and Chemical Engineering. Recently I finished my master in Chemistry at Middle Tennessee State University(MTSU). Now I am doing PhD in chemistry at University of New Orleans. My varied educational and professional background offers me a unique platform to teach and relate creatively with the students. As a graduate teaching assistant at MTSU and University of New Orleans, I have gained some experience teaching undergraduate classes in general chemistry I, general chemistry II and physical science. I prepared effective interactive PowerPoint presentation slides which made the students more engaged. Additionally, I developed inclusive syllabus which usually states clearly all the rules and expectations of the students throughout each semester. I also covered the recitation class of general chemistry II at University of New Orleans. The accolades that I received from students have strengthened my desire to become a good teacher. I am also highly experienced in teaching Algebra, Geometry, Calculus. I am sure that the experiences that I have gained with children and during my degree would make me a great teacher.
