If you're studying for the MCAT, 大象传媒 can help you by enrolling you in an online Tucson MCAT course. Many medical students admit that the MCAT was one of the most difficult tests they encountered during their academic careers - not only due to its comprehensive nature and challenging topics covered, but also because of the pressure most students face on the weeks leading up to the test. That's because your MCAT score is one of the main things medical schools will look at when making admissions decisions. So, if you want to get accepted to a top school like the University of Arizona College of Medicine - Tucson, you'll need to perform well on test day.
One of the best ways to ensure you get the assistance you need to study for the MCAT is by joining a Tucson MCAT course. We offer a virtual prep course that provides the same level of interaction as in-person lessons while offering enough flexibility to work with any student's schedule. If you're someone who needs more engagement than self-study exercises have to offer, this course may be perfect for you. Not only will you review important medical concepts under the guidance of a professional instructor, but you also get to work with other students who are preparing for medical school. The course is designed to promote collaboration, which means that you and your peers are encouraged to work together to solve problems, share information, and develop a greater understanding of the test materials.
Another reason to consider a Tucson MCAT class is that you'll learn a wealth of information that can help you on the actual test. This doesn't just include important terms and key concepts - the class covers test-taking strategies as well. Passing standardized tests is a skill in itself. Your instructor understands that and is happy to help you mentally prepare for the test so that you can reduce any test-day jitters that could impact your performance.
What could a Tucson MCAT class help me review?
The MCAT is divided into four sections: Chemical and Physical Foundations of Biological Systems; Biological and Biochemical Foundations of Living Systems; Critical Analysis and Reasoning Skills; and Psychological, Social, and Biological Foundations of Behavior. Each section tests your knowledge on a different area of medicine as well as your basic understanding of research and critical thinking. A Tucson MCAT class will help you prepare for all of these sections in a way that's easier to manage. That way, you could reduce the chances of becoming overwhelmed due to the sheer volume of content covered. Ready to learn more? Let's take a deeper look at each section of the test.
For the Chemical and Physical Foundations of Biological Systems portion, you'll have 95 minutes to answer 59 questions. These questions are a mixture of passage-based questions and standalone problems. The content covered will look at your understanding of various fields of life science, including organic chemistry, biochemistry, and biology. There will be some other areas of science covered as well, like introductory physics and general chemistry.
The Biological and Biochemical Foundations of Living Systems consists of 59 questions, also a mixture between passage-based and standalone questions. Here, you'll be expected to answer questions and solve problems related to living organisms. To succeed in this portion of the test, you need to draw upon your knowledge of biology and various chemistry fields, and then use that information in conjunction with your own reasoning skills to answer questions.
You'll need to brush up on your critical reading and analytical skills in order to pass the Critical Analysis and Reasoning Skills portion of the test. That's because this section consists of 9 reading passages and 53 questions that correspond with those passages. Everything from English to social science and humanities is covered in this portion of the test. However, the primary element you're being evaluated on isn't your knowledge about those subjects, but rather your ability to extract important data and use it to solve problems.
The Psychological, Social, and Biological Foundations of Behavior section has a mixture of passage-based and independent questions. There are 59 questions in total that are covered in this section, and the majority of those questions are centered on psychology and sociology. To prepare for this part of the test, you need to have a good understanding of human behavior, social relationships, mental health, and how cultural and social elements can influence one's well-being.
How does a Tucson MCAT class help me prepare?
First and foremost, taking a class is a great way to explore and become comfortable with the material presented on the MCAT. Moreover, many students enjoy attending class because it helps them learn how to study more efficiently. Because you get to work with an instructor and other students preparing for the same exam, you don't have to simply memorize important concepts - you get to engage with the material, learning how doctors use these concepts to help them in everyday life.
The other advantage of a Tucson MCAT course is that it's conducted completely online. If you're someone who has a busy schedule, this course is a great way to prepare for such an important test. You don't have to stress about how you're going to cram a study session between your other commitments. Instead, you get to choose when and where you want to study. As long as you have an internet connection, you can study at a time that works for you.
How can I find a Tucson MCAT prep course?

I studied physiology at the University of Arizona and graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelors of Science in Health Sciences. I am an aspiring physician with specific interest in preventative health. My greatest goal as an instructor is to help students succeed academically so they may achieve their dreams--whatever those may be.... Getting to know students, their academic background, and their learning style is the first step. I tailor my approach to what suits the student and subject best. I personally find that a combination of applied practice problems, discussions, and images works well most of the time. Above all, I remain patient and positive.

...to Harvard, Stanford, UC Berkeley, UPenn, and NYU Law Schools. I most enjoy tutoring subjects that are distinctively analytical, like the LSAT, philosophy, and logic. I think these subjects are a unique challenge to teach because students only develop the necessary skill if they are able critically think through the problems at hand. I thus do my best to guide my students thinking processes, rather than tell them the answers. I spend most of my...
