Hello! My name is Qiru and am currently a junior at Georgia Institute of Technology studying Industrial Design!

I teach taking into account the individual ability of the student to grasp the information. For instance, I would give a suitable or a related example so that the student would understand the new concept by drawing a parallel with what they know already. This would ensure their cognition and also high retention.

I love languages, but even more than my passion for them, I love helping others learn languages using techniques that have helped me and others. As soon as I know what a student's preferred learning style is, I adjust my tutoring methods to make the sessions memorable, helpful, fun, and relatable. This way the information will be easy to learn, retain, and apply.

The Montessori philosophy, "individual, freedom within limits," is the teaching style that I adopt. Especially when teaching world languages, it is very hard to frame all students in the same box since each student's learning style is different. Knowing and observing a student's strengths and personally designing the teaching method based on each student's or parent's expectation is my goal.
