I have over 11 years in education, both in the classroom as well as small group and 1-one-1 sessions. I have taught Reading, both advanced and intensive, focusing on reading comprehension skills as well as writing skills to students in grades 2nd through 6th. Over the years, I have had the opportunity to assist ELL learners within whole group instruction by providing differentiated materials and instruction. This past year, I obtained my Reading Endorsement in order to teach Intensive Reading students. I am also ESOL certified, and currently hold a valid teaching certification through the state of Florida. My experience with online teaching was through VipKid, for about a year and half, which is also where I obtained my TESOL certification. I am very passionate about reading and writing. I love when I read, I learn about so many different things; it's like traveling for free! I became apart of ����ý because I want to help students gain more confidence in their reading and writing skills. I am very patient and empathetic; my teaching strategy is to guide the learner, not give them the answer. Then in time, they will grow and gain more assurance in themselves.
