What is your teaching philosophy?

My teaching philosophy is that anything can be taught to anyone, as long as it is broken down in the right way for that individual student.

What might you do in a typical first session with a student?

In a first session, I like to get to know the student's learning style in order to gauge exactly how we're going to improve our knowledge of the subject in the most efficient and easy way.

How can you help a student become an independent learner?

Like riding a bike, first a student must be guided, and allowed to guide themselves through parts of lessons in order to make sure that they understand and can eventually learn independently.

How would you help a student stay motivated?

I often remind my students of all of the rewards that can be reaped from learning and studying. Knowledge is power.

If a student has difficulty learning a skill or concept, what would you do?

I try to break each part of the most tough skills and concepts down to make sure that students can eventually piece the parts together on their own, gaining self-pride in the process.
