In 2020 I graduated with a doctorate degree in law from St. Mary's University. I am licensed to practice law in the State of Texas. Currently, I am employed as a lawyer for the State of Texas, and I primarily work in the field of administrative law. I am a member of the John Harlan Society, a legal honors society, and I am a published author in the field of constitutional criminal procedure. I tutor in multiple areas of law, and I can assist with history and political science as well.
I enjoy helping others to grasp and understand difficult subjects. While I was an undergraduate student at the University of Texas at San Antonio, I was employed as a supplemental instructor for a United States History course. Since that time, I tutored my colleagues in law school informally for the joy of teaching alone, and now that I have finished my graduate degree, I am looking forward to teaching others once again.
The key to teaching is to tell a story that speaks to the listener and that listener's individual life experience. It is my duty as a tutor to breathe life into the subject matter with comic relief as needed. In tutoring others, I listen carefully to each student and tune my teaching to that student's learning style. All questions are welcome, and it is my firm belief that the Socratic method of discussion between tutor and student is useful to subjects within the fields of law and the social sciences. Therefore, the analysis, thoughts, and questions of students are integral to the education process. Input and feedback from students are very important to me. I look forward to tutoring here at ý!
