Kitt
Certified Tutor
I hold two Bachelors:
1) Bachelors of Archaeology from the University of Wisconsin La Crosse, with a minor in Anthropology and a focus in Writing and Linguistics. There, I wrote a thesis on Ceramic Analysis and Motifs of the Native Americans.
2) Bachelors of Psychology from the University of Wisconsin Stout. I also hold a TEFL/ESL certificate which allows me to teach English and Business English.
My tutoring experience is primarily academic, or higher education-based. I was an Anthropology tutor at the University of Wisconsin La Crosse, and assisted as a mentor on an Archaeology dig and Ceramics lab. Outside of higher education, I have considerable experience as a camp counselor and ESL tutor.
My philosophy for tutoring is: if the teacher is enthusiastic and patient, learning will come easier and also be enjoyable. Thus, when tutoring I am quite passionate about the subject, and always make sure my student feels comfortable learning a their own pace. It is okay to make a mistake, or need to review; if we didn't make mistakes, we wouldn't learn.
I have traveled globally, learning about many new cultures and their customs, typically picking up the language. In my free time, I explore the outdoors, practice Latin or Ballet, and spend time with friends.

Undergraduate Degree: University of Wisconsin-Stout - Associate in Arts, Psychology
Dance and the arts are two of my main interests. I am always searching to learn something new, practice what I know, or find dance workshops. I am also an amateur photographer, and enjoy the peace of the outdoors.
