Hi!

My tutoring approach will be based around my 4 P's: Personal, Professional, Purposeful, and Pleasant

PERSONAL: I want to make sure that I am resource in whatever way you need me to be. You are the focus of all of our interactions. If you only need an accountability partner, I can do that. If you want someone with whom you can talk through concepts and help research, I can do that too!

PROFESSIONAL: I will always show you and your learning/goals this utmost respect. I am not here to judge or criticize. If you are incorrect on an answer, I will respectfully inform you of that, but I will also inform you of why you were incorrect and/or guide you to a more effective solution. I would expect the same of you if you know that I am incorrect in something that I say. Follow-through is pretty big in my world, so if I commit to something, then I am going to do everything in my power to stick to that commitment. I would respectfully expect the same of you.

PURPOSEFUL: When it comes to the learning, growing, and developing process, I do not believe in arbitrary tasks or processes. I am not going to suggest for you to do or try things just because I can. I believe that learning is an intentional process, and to get the most from it, you have to be open to the various ways it may present itself. Even when things don't seem to go the way we expect, I believe that there are still learning opportunities within those situations.

PLEASANT: I am almost certain that the things listed above come across in a very serious tone, but I want you to know that I want this to be as much of a good time for you as I hope it will be for me. I am actually a pretty light-hearted guy! I love to laugh, and if there is an appropriate way to lighten the mood (jokes, etc.), then I will try it. And I encourage you to do the same! Keeping a positive and confident mindset throughout the studying process will ease the anxiety that inevitably comes as test day approaches. I want to help you with that!

Ultimately, my goal is to do what I can to help you get across the finish line...aka, PASSING THE TEST!!!
