Hi! My name is Aaron. I'm a born and raised North Carolinian. In the realm of sports I pull for NC State and ECU, my alma maters. I believe that Lexington Style BBQ is the best as I'm originally from that part of the Piedmont.

I graduated with my BS in Mathematics from East Carolina University and taught for a time in the eastern part of the state. I worked in high school classrooms teaching subjects from Algebra I through Pre-Calc or Math I through Functions and Modeling in the NC Common Core curriculum.

I am no stranger to tutoring! Outside of my teaching experience, I worked for several years at ECU as a lead tutor and mentor for the university's college algebra and developmental math classrooms. I've seen students from engineers to graphic design and theater majors struggle with classes, but I've struggled right along with them. I work hard to make it all "make sense". As such, I use a mixture of lecture technique as well as storytelling, kinesthetic/hands-on activities, and practical mnemonics that are useful in many different classrooms.

With any skill, it takes time, effort, and focus. I've struggled with math just as much as I've struggled learning to play trumpet and French horn. It takes time, energy, and focus. I'm here to cheer you on, it's up to you how much you let me.
