I have been a part of the teaching community for five years now and my experience spans all age groups and proficiency levels. Great instruction for me is a passion, and I know that this is evident to my students. My basic belief is that knowledge grows best in a relaxed and playful context, so I try to create an atmosphere and develop learning activities that relax student's inhibitions. Thus, allowing them to take chances, a skill that is crucial to progress in a new system of communication. As a second language learner myself, I understand the trials students must face in language acquisition and this translates into a sense of empathy for both the struggles and rewards of the learning process.
My teaching experience is centered on providing students with the skills they need to develop their personal expression. As an instructor of academic writing, I have worked to help my pupils to refine their style, be more detailed and specific in their use of language, and to find their own voice to lend their writing a level of authenticity. Stemming from my background in dramatic arts, my classroom also incorporates role-play and theatre-based exercises, as I believe these are the ultimate test of both linguistic skill and attentiveness.
Throughout my academic career and work experiences I have succeeded in a variety of tasks, and my record of solid performance has granted me the opportunity to take on different levels of responsibility. I possess a high degree of self-confidence and personal accountability, which help me to manage the rigors of professional work. My job performance goes beyond pragmatic instruction, to include cultural exchange and personal understanding. I know that any environment would be enhanced by my positive attitude, maturity and adaptability. Highly motivated and flexible, I learn quickly and commit myself to any task I take on.. You will find me to be a very creative and enthusiastic person with the patience and care to build an innovative workplace. I am eager to grow in my profession and would welcome the chance to discuss the contributions that I could make to your organization, as well as my abilities and experience in greater detail. I look forward to hearing from you, as well as the opportunity to help students improve their linguistic skills and English fluency.
