I have always had a passion for math and it's elegance. There is always more than one way to approach a problem, and the nature of how theories and concepts interconnect together still makes me marvel. I approach math as almost a game, where you have to follow a certain set of rules, but if you do, you find your answer and "win." While math has always come easy to me, I also appreciate how it can be quite the opposite for many others, and try to approach teaching it from their perspective, and to find the best way for them to connect to the material and come to their own understanding, and hopefully an appreciation of the concepts and wonder behind it all. I studied Math in my undergraduate school, where I also double majored in Theater. This added experience makes me a dynamic and engaging speaker that directly boosts my ability to convey these ideas in more than just a flat lecture format. I also have my Masters Degree in Math Education 7-12.
