Certified Tutor

This past spring I was a lecturer at Gettysburg College, teaching two sections of the non-majors course "Biological Basis of Disease". I received my PhD in biology in 2014 from the Johns Hopkins University. I completed my dissertation work in the lab of Dr. Joel Schildbach. I was a 2012-2013 Dean's Teaching Fellow in the Biology Department at Johns Hopkins University. Last fall, I was a lecturer at Johns Hopkins University, teaching the freshman only seminar "The Human Microbiome".

This course was a modified version of the course I taught as a Dean's Teaching Fellow. I have also been a teaching assistant for various other courses, including Biochemistry, the freshman only lab course Phage Hunters, and others. I have tutored for graduate level biophysics, and been involved with teaching or tutoring for the past 4 years.
