Certified Tutor

I am a graduate of both Arizona State University and American University. I earned my Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry at Arizona State's Barrett Honors College, and I recently completed my Master of Science in Chemistry from American University. Throughout high school and college, I have been tutoring other students in Math and Chemistry, ranging from Algebra to Organic Chemistry. Since I obtained my Master's degree, I have been working as an independent Math and Science tutor. I take great pride in my students' results and to me the greatest reward for tutoring is the look on a student's face when they ace a test in a class they've been struggling in. While I tutor a broad range of Math and Chemistry, I am most passionate about tutoring Chemistry because I have a strong background in it. This allows me to show students the reasons behind why a problem is the way it is or why a subject is important in the real world, which helps to motivate students to care more about their classwork. My teaching style is tailored to each student's preferred study method, which I feel is much better than an overarching study plan. In my spare time, I am the lead developer of a tabletop game and I write short works of science fiction, which I hope to be able to publish in the future.
