The student had a homework worksheet on congruent triangles. She has an excellent understanding of this material.

We are getting closer to proofs. The student seems to get the concepts well. We were constructing perpendicular lines and working on notation. She's doing incredibly well and currently is holding an A- in math.

Proofing and triangle theorems. The student is a smart kid with good critical thinking abilities. He did very well on his last test scoring a 96%. On a recent quiz he was deducted a few points because of a simple mistake on a single problem. He understands why he got it incorrect and won't fall victim to the same mistake again.

We finished reviewing the incenter, circumcenter, centroid, and orthocenter of a triangle and all associated concepts (e.g., median). We cemented his knowledge of the perpendicular bisector and angle bisector theorems. He is getting better at using language precisely to explain his reasoning. Since, as he told me tonight, most of his test on Friday will be vocabulary, I assigned him to memorize all the terms and theorems we have covered so far by then.

The student has a test this Friday so we just went through a review sheet he was given and did all the problems he felt unsure about. We reviewed the Pythagorean theorem, tangent lines to a circle, secant lines, inscribed angle formulas, chord formulas, how to FOIL multiply, and how to solve equations using the quadratic formula.

We covered new class material and went over some problems they did in class. She had a project due the next day, so I looked over her project for her.
